The masterpiece of the family band from Los Angeles! Beautiful soul of the golden era, written by Leon Sylvers III, produced by Jerry Butler and Keg Johnson. The band's second album from 1973 is one of their strongest. It opens with the fantastic mid-tempo track "We Can Make It If We Try" and moves through funk, boogie and deep soul moods, ending with a hazy acapella version of "Yesterday" by the Beatles. The Sylvers are always a goldmine of samples. This album has already been flipped by Madlib (for MF DOOM), Homeboy Sandman, 50 Cent, Ghostface Killah, Black Milk, Roc Marciano, David Banner & 9th Wonder and many others.
