The final release in the reissue series of the three Ohio Players albums for the Westbound label. "Ecstasy" features one of Joel Brodsky's iconic cover artworks and was originally released in 1973. The mix of funk and soul is particularly evident on the tracks "Sleep Talk" and "Food Stamps Y'All2. Between 1973 and 1976, the Ohio Players had seven top 40 hits in the Billboard Hot 100, including "Fire" and "Love Rollercoaster", which reached number 1 in both the R&B and pop charts. And rightly so. Great material!
