After Khruangbin released their new EP "Texas Sun" with Leon Bridges in early 2020, fans of the soul, funk and psychedelic rock band from Texas can also look forward to a new album in the summer. 

"Mordechai" is the name of the trio's now fourth long player. Their last album "Hasta el cielo" was only released in 2019. 

Khruangbin recorded ten new songs for it in their own Farmhouse Studio in Burton, Texas, in which they make sonic influences from Pakistan, Korea and West Africa audible this time. In addition, and this is a novelty for the predominantly instrumental band, vocals are in the foreground on almost every song on "Mordechai". 

Laura Lee, Mark Speer and Donald Ray "DJ" Johnson Jr already revealed how this sounds with the single "Time (You And I)" with a striking disco vibe.
