The 64-year-old "Screaming Eagle of Soul" has been acclaimed by critics and fans alike. No Time for Dreaming, released in January 2011, became one of the best-selling independent records of the year, placing on the annual best-of lists of GQ, Esquire, SPIN, MOJO, Paste Magazine, Mother Jones and many more. Bradley also appeared with Sharon Jones & Grace Potter on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was featured on various episodes of Last Call with Carson Daly.

Since his live breakthrough at SXSW 2001, which landed him on the cover of SXSWorld magazine, Charles had played to sold-out crowds and festivals throughout North America, Europe, Australia, among others. He has been on the cover of Pollstar and was honored as "Road Warrior of the Year" at the Inaugural A2IM Libera Awards.
